Montfort clarifies the concept of addiction: "Down here there are two ways of belong to others and others depend on the voluntary-ties: the simple service and slavery, we say servant and slave. With the service, popular among Christians, a man is committed to serving another term for a specified period, upon a specific salary or other compensation (the two terms so different etymology, is identifiable in meaning).
with slavery, a man is all employees from another lifetime, and has served his master without expecting any reward or know-Lario, as one of the beasts on which the owner has the right to life and death.
There are three kinds of slavery: slavery in nature, compulsion of slavery and bondage of the will.
